Telecoms Minister Daryl Vaz has confirmed that there are now 315 free community Wi-Fi hotspots across the island.
Mr Vaz says the initiative is aimed at overcoming connectivity disparities across communities.
Connectivity has been made available as part of the Universal Service Fund's Community Wi-Fi Programme, which aims to increase access to the Internet across the 63 constituencies.
Mr. Vaz says, despite significant advancements in telecommunications infrastructure, there is still work to be done, particularly in rural areas.
He says, using spectrum resources to reach the unserved and underserved population can unlock new opportunities for social inclusion, economic empowerment and sustainable development.
