Eight adults and three children are homeless after fire of unknown origin destroyed at dwelling at a bar along Fitzgerald Avenue in the Maxfield Park area of St. Andrew on Friday afternoon.
Senior Superintendent Patrick Gooden, divisional officer for the fire department in the Corporate Area, told Radio Jamaica News that two fire units responded about 12:30 p.m.
He said one firefighter was injured during the operation.
SSP Gooden said the estimated cost of the damage is $3.5 million.
