The National Water Commission has confirmed that water restrictions in the Corporate Area will remain in effect despite recent rainfall.
The Mona Reservoir is currently below 50 per cent capacity while the Hermitage dam is about 70 per cent.
Delano Williams, acting Corporate Public Relations Manager at the National Water Commission, revealed on Sunday that storage levels at the two main catchments in the Corporate Area remain below the levels for the corresponding period last year.
He said these are not at the sustainable points required for the regulations to be relaxed.
Mr Williams added that the NWC is managing the water to ensure that it is sustainable during the dry months.
He said, while the NWC will continue to supply water during prescribed hours, some communities might be without the commodity due to various factors.
