Dr Peter Phillips
Member of Parliament for East Central St Andrew Dr Peter Phillips is calling for the government to make the level of investment required for the education sector to improve the country's educational outcomes.
His comment comes amid concerns about some schools being affected by a shortage of teachers, as well as poor exam results.
Dr. Phillips, speaking at a constituency conference on Sunday, said there is an urgent need to invest more in school infrastructure and human resources.
