Prime Minister Dr Andrew Holness
Prime Minister Dr Andrew Holness is expressing confidence that his governing Jamaica Labour Party will rettain power in the upcoming parliamentary general election.
The JLP Leader, speaking at a party workers meeting in North West St Elizabeth North West on Saturday, argued that electors will reward the government for its track record of achievement.
He highlighted crime reduction, saying "St. Elizabeth is now one of the safest parish (sic), if not the safest parish in the country."
He also referred to the promised rural school bus system that is now being introduced, as well as "the support for farming and agriculture," as well as the sector's recovery from Hurricane Beryl and the management of the company, "so that you don't have to pay any new taxes."
