The St. Andrew North Police have launched several operations in search of the men who carried out Wednesday's deadly mass shooting in Cassava Piece, St. Andrew.

A woman was killed and five others wounded during a drive-by attack at 46 and a 1/2 Mannings Hills Road.

The deceased is 28-year-old Kelly Ann Bernard of the same address.

One person is in critical condition.

It's reported that patrons were at a bar playing dominoes sometime before 8 p.m. when a silver motorcar drove up and men armed with guns alighted.

They opened fire hitting the six victims.

Deputy Superintendent Randy Sweeney, Commanding officer for the St. Andrew North Police, told Radio Jamaica News that the police are investigating two possible motives for the attack.

DSP Sweeney said there was no intelligence of an impending attack, however, the community has been on the police's radar due to ongoing gang conflict.
