Policeman shot and injured in Portmore

A member of the Jamaica Constabulary Force is being treated at hospital after he was shot in Portmore, St. Catherine, on Thursday night.
 
Investigators say about 9:45 p.m., residents along Frazers Avenue, in Bridgeport, heard gunfire.
 
They then heard someone crying out for help.
 
They responded and found the Police Sergeant with multiple bullet wounds.
 
He was rushed to hospital where he was admitted in serious condition.
 
The Greater Portmore Police and the Major Investigation Division have launched a search for the suspects behind the shooting.
