Richard Fontaine, Co-founder FFK has died

Richard Fontaine, co founder, Chairman and President of one of Jamaica’s oldest insurance broking houses, Fraser Fontaine and Kong Ltd (FFK) died on Wednesday April 11 after a brief battle with prostate cancer.

Mr. Fontaine, who was born in Bridgetown Barbados was a naturalized Jamaican and attended St. George’s College in Kingston Jamaica.

He was a founding father, Executive Director and lifetime member of the Insurance Association of the Caribbean.

He also served as Chairman of the Prices Commission, Director/Acting Chairman, Things Jamaica Ltd  and was Chairman and member of various Finance Committees.

He is survived by two daughters, two sons, a stepson, grandson, a brother and three sisters.
