The Seventh Day Adventist Elder who was arrested in St Mary three days ago for allegedly having sex with a minor has been charged.
Narry Hudson, 41, was charged on Thursday with three offences after being questioned.
According to the police, he has been charged with grievous sexual assault, sexual grooming and having sex with a person under 16-years-old.
Mr. Hudson, who is an elder at Haywood Hall Seventh Day Adventist Church in Whitehall, St. Mary, was taken into custody by the Port Maria Police on Tuesday night.
He remains in custody.
He was arrested after the Centre for the Investigation of Sexual Offences and Child Abuse (CISOCA) collected statements from a 14-year-old girl.
