Skeletal remains found in search for missing school teacher

The police have discovered skeletal remains in their search for missing primary school teacher, Danielle Anglin.

 

The remains were found in Salt River, Clarendon on Monday morning.

 

The 29-year-old woman was last seen on May 13 when she left home in Hellshire, St. Catherine for work at St. Peter Claver Primary School in St. Andrew.

 

Deputy Superintendent Clifton Green, in charge of crime in Clarendon, said there is no confirmation yet of the identity of the remains, which were discovered during a joint investigation between the Clarendon and St. Catherine South Police.

 

"Those remains have been processed and have been collected for further evidentiary processing. We wouldn't want to say at this time the intricacies of the investigation but we do say that these skeletal remains have significantly improved information that we seek in the investigations," he said. 

 

Ms Anglin's parents and the Jamaica Teachers' Association had pleaded for her safe return.
