A St. Andrew businessman has been charged with fraudulent conversion following a transaction in September last year.

He is 39-year-old Andrew Palmer, of Harbour View Road in Stony Hill.

It was reported that a man visited Palmer's business establishment, where he paid $115,000 for a 2018 Honda Civic RHD headlight.

The man reportedly received a receipt with the details of his purchase and was told that he would receive the item within two weeks.

After several months passed and the man had not received the item, a report was made to the police.

During the police investigation, it was discovered that Palmer had converted the money to his use and benefit.

He was arrested on April 27 for a similar offence, and was additionally charged for this incident.
