St. Andrew South Police name several persons of interest, wanted men

The St. Andrew South Police Division is reporting that it has recorded six murders since the start of the year.

 

This is seven fewer than the same period last year.

 

The divisional leadership of the St. Andrew South Police says the Criminal Investigation Branch has been pursuing several investigations in relation to these murders and other violent incidents.

 

However, the CIB needs the assistance of the public in locating fifteen individuals who may be able to assist with these ongoing enquiries.

 

The persons of interest are: Tevin Dacres of a Payne Land address; Jason Channer, otherwise called 'Popeye'; Andre Frame, otherwise called 'Cooman', 'Fine Voice', 'Nineties', or 'Speedy'; Michael Karr, otherwise called 'Preps'; Oniel Smith, otherwise called 'Weedy'; a man known as 'Lando' or 'Duckman', and a man known only as 'Shamar'. They are said to frequent Happy Grove in Red Hills.

 

The other eight men have been listed as wanted.

 

They are: Samuel Brown, otherwise called 'Shatty' or 'Mark', of a 45 Drive, Kingston 11 address; Andre Brown Jr., otherwise called 'Biggs', of a Fitzgerald, Kingston 13 address; Kevin Roberts, otherwise called 'Thick Man' or 'Yankee', of a Bell Rock, Kingston 11 address; and Bebeto Brown, of a Calalloo Mews, Kingston 20 address.

 

Rounding out the wanted list are: Raheem Brown, otherwise called 'Berger', of a Crescent Road address; Jermaine Richards, otherwise called 'Reechie', of a Pen Road address; Derrick Johnson, otherwise called 'Bush', of Greenwich Town, Kingston 13; and Orlando Blake, otherwise called 'Lando' or 'Gaza Man', of Crescent Road, Kingston 13.

 

These individuals are being asked to report to the Hunts Bay CIB or the nearest police station. 

 

A 48-hour curfew that was imposed this week in the St. Andrew South Police Division in response to the violence, has been extended. 

 

It will remain in effect until 6 p.m. Saturday.
