St. Vincent and the Grenadines voices support for earthquake-hit Taiwan

The Government of St. Vincent and the Grenadines has voiced support for the people of Taiwan following the 7.4-magnitude earthquake which hit the island Wednesday.
 
Prime Minister Ralph Gonsalves has also declared that all Vincentian students in Taiwan are safe.
 
Prime Minister Gonsalves says he will remain in contact with the ambassador throughout Thursday to ensure the safety and well being of the Caribbean nation's citizens there.  
 
The earthquake caused landslides and collapsed structures on Taiwan's east coast, rescuers are still attempting to liberate scores of people who remain trapped.
 
More than 900 people have been hurt, while in excess of 100 structures have been substantially damage, and at least nine individuals have perished.
