Staff at the Princess Margaret Hospital in St. Thomas are reporting renewed hope and increased satisfaction following a series of developments linked to an ongoing investigation.
These developments include the appointment of a new Acting Chief Executive Officer at the institution.
In addition, there are upgrades to the hospital's car park, improved staff accommodation, and the rollout of staff welfare programmes aimed at boosting morale.
Radio Jamaica News understands that senior managers have also been reassigned to other departments.
In September 2025, reports surfaced of abusive behaviour by senior staff members.
Several workers had reported being threatened with disciplinary action for speaking out about their experiences, which led many to feel intimidated.
However, according to some staff members, the latest move by the hospital has boosted morale at the facility and has reduced anxiety among staff.
