The US Government donated 20 hybrid Ford police vehicles to the Royal Bahamas Police Force to help in their fight against crime.
The announcement was made yesterday by Prime Minister Philip Davis.
He said with the additional vehicles, the police will be able to increase patrols in high-crime areas.
Police Commissioner Clayton Fernander has said that an additional 100 trucks and 50 motorcycles will be added to the force's fleet to improve saturation patrols.
