Three members of the Jamaica Constabulary Force accused of physically assaulting another policeman appeared before the Kingston and St. Andrew Parish Court on Tuesday on assault charges.
The three cops were placed before the Court following a ruling by the Director of Public Prosecutions.
The Independent Commission of Investigations, which probed the case, accused the three cops - Sergeant Steve Forrest, Constable Brian Grant and Detective Corporal Roger Spence - of assaulting the policeman who sustained injuries to his face and body on December 4, 2021.
But when the matter came up for mention, the presiding judge recommended that it be ventilated through Restorative Justice.
The matter was then set for November 21 to hear the outcome of the Restorative Justice process.
The three officers were bound over.
