The Manchester Police are investigating another deadly shooting, the third since Sunday.
In the latest incident, residents of Cedar Grove district reported hearing explosions about 9 p.m. on Tuesday.
Three men were later found with bullet wounds close to the main road.
The police were called and the men taken to the hospital where one died.
The other two were admitted.
On Sunday, 41-year-old Everol Richards, a maintenance worker of a Villa Road address in Mandeville, was found dead on a haul road in Brokenhurst, and on Monday, the bodies of two men were found with bullet wounds in front of a bar on Manchester Road.
They were identified as 40-year-old truck driver Nicholas Tomlinson and 32-year-old labourer Chester Smith, both of May Day in the parish.
Superintendent Carey Duncan, Commanding Officer for the Manchester Police, said the police are expecting to make a breakthrough shortly into the recent incidents of violence.
Superintendent Duncan said intelligence suggests that the events are the result of interpersonal disagreements.
He stressed that the parish remains safe for residents and visitors.
"Earlier, I gave the reassurance that heading into the Yuletide season, Manchester will be a safe place of persons to come in and do their business. I am holding to that fact, that Manchester is in fact still a safe place. What we are seeing here are some targeted events with persons who have dispute with each other, and we are seeing it playing out in a particular way. As I said before, we are certainly on top of what is happening in this space, and I just want to reinforce that Manchester is in fact a safe place to come and do your business," he maintained.
Superintendent Duncan said the four murders have disrupted the relative calm in the parish.
"As a matter of fact, for the past three months, we have seen one incident of serious crime in terms of murder. So what we are seeing here now is very unnatural based on the operational output that we have implemented and what we are doing within this space. So I just want to reiterate to the persons that traverse the space, that we are out, we are with you. All we ask for is your support in these communities to ensure that peace and normalcy is maintained," he appealed.
Superintendent Duncan led a walkthrough of Cedar Grove and adjoining communities, including Green Street, on Wednesday morning to reassure residents of the police's presence.
Three men were detained in Green Street and taken away for processing.
However, the police did not indicate whether their detention is linked to the shooting in Cedar Grove.
