Less than a week after Trinidad & Tobago Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley acknowledged that the country had been blindsided by the operations of the Strategic Services Agency, a former senior official has been charged with misbehaviour in public office.
In a statement, the police said Ian Brown, who was the personal adviser and pastor to Major Roger Best, who was last week dismissed as the SSA director with immediate effect, is among three people facing multiple counts of misbehaviour in public office.
The authorities said a police sergeant, Sherwin Waldron, has also been charged.
