The Trinidad & Tobago Police Service yesterday said high-grade marijuana worth an estimated TT$17.7 million was seized during an operation on Tuesday.
A 63-year-old man has been arrested for the offence of possession of cannabis for the purpose of trafficking.
The authorities said the operation was based on intelligence that a major drug trafficking network had smuggled a large quantity of narcotics over the weekend.
Officers proceeded to an apartment, and a search resulted in the seizure of the drug.
