Tufton undergoes surgery after being knocked from his bicycle by a car

Health & Wellness Minister, Dr. Christopher Tufton, remains hospitalised following surgery on his wrist and knee, arising from a collision with a vehicle while he was cycling early Sunday morning.
 
The health ministry says Dr Tufton is in stable condition.
 
It says he is under the care of the health team at the University Hospital of the West Indies.
 
According to reports, Dr. Tufton was cycling on Charlemont Drive in St. Andrew when he was involved in a collision with a motor vehicle driven by a dancehall artiste. 
 
He was reportedly taken to hospital by the driver of the vehicle involved in the collision.
