Clerk to the Houses of Parliament Valrie Curtis has announced that she will be retiring this Saturday April 6.
In an email to all Members of Parliament, the Clerk said she has gained a plethora of experience during her tenure and has fulfilled her purpose at Parliament.
Ms. Curtis was appointed Clerk of the Houses of Parliament on July 23, 2021.
She has been in the news in recent weeks following a letter of reprimand from House Speaker Juliet Holness for what she said was a dereliction of duty regarding the handling of Auditor General reports.
