Woman accused of swindling remanded

Denise Faulknor, the woman accused of swindling thousands of dollars from another woman after advertising a trip to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic, appeared in the Clarendon Parish Court on Tuesday, on a similar charge.
 
She was remanded and is to return to court on June 28.
 
She is also scheduled to appear before the St Elizabeth Parish Court on June 24 to answer to more charges.
 
Ms Faulknor, who is 38 years old, is facing charges of fraudulent conversion, conspiracy to defraud, and participating in criminal activities.
 
It's reported that Ms Faulknor, posing as a travel agent, collected money on the premise that she could make booking arrangements and hotel accommodations for a trip to The Dominican Republic on May 2.
