Caribbean states receiving formal notification of US Cuba-related visa sanctions

Report from WPG10 News in Grenada

Caribbean leaders have begun to receive formal notification from the Government of the United States on its expanded Cuba visa restriction policy, targeting officials from countries that engage Cuban healthcare workers.

CARICOM countries, including Jamaica, have indicated that they will be seeking a clarification meeting with Washington.

Prime Minister Dickon Mitchell of Grenada confirmed on Friday that he had received the notice and said a response will be forthcoming next week.
