Grenada: Opposition leader Keith Mitchell defends leadership amid pressure to step down

Under pressure to relinquish the leadership position of the New National Party that he has held for several decades, opposition leader in Grenada, Dr Keith Mitchell, has warned aspirants to the post that the party will not be hijacked by anyone.

He said supporters should stay focused, be more inquiring and question the motives of those who continually attack and push propaganda about the party's leadership.

The party lost the June 2022 general elections to the now ruling National Democratic Congress after it had controlled all 15 seats in the Parliament.
