St. Lucia govt receives audit report on controversial Covid-19 vaccine purchase

The St. Lucia government yesterday said it has received an audited report into the controversial arrangements regarding the purchase of 100,000 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.

Castries is still awaiting the delivery of the product despite having paid EC$7 million up front.

Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Phillip J Pierre said the report will be released when the government sees it fit, as he criticised the previous administration for paying the funds without receiving the vaccines to date.
