Director of the Interior Ministry in Suriname, Nasier Eskak, says the official election period will begin on Tuesday with the inspection of the electoral roll.
Mr Eskak says the inspection will be held in the Congreshal, the Congress Hall, a convention centre built for the 1999 CARICOM summit.
He adds that the slogan and logo of the May 25 elections will also be launched.
In addition to online, eligible voters will be able to check the electoral roll at 344 locations nationwide.
