Mother of three children who died in St. Ann house fire under investigation

Radio Jamaica News has been informed that the mother of the three children who perished in a fire in Cottage district, St. Ann on Sunday, is being investigated by the police.
 
A senior investigator told Radio Jamaica News that the cops will be seeking guidance from the Director of Public Prosecutions on whether she should be charged for negligence.
 
He said the 24-year-old woman has been questioned about her whereabouts at the time of the fire.  
 
It was revealed that she was reportedly sleeping in another section of the community at the time of the blaze.
 
Seven-year-old Tashawna Mattis, a grade 2 student, and two of her siblings, four-year-old Tashawnie and two-year-old Tavarno, perished in the pre-dawn blaze which occurred sometime after 2 a.m. 
 
Their grandmother and five-year-old sibling managed to escape.
