US announces additional US$160 million in aid to Haiti

The Biden administration has announced an additional US$160 million in development, economic, health, and security assistance for the Haitian people. 
 
The US Department Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, made the announcement yesterday while hosting an event on the margins of the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly debate. 
 
Mr  Blinken said the aid brings a total of over US$1.3 billion in foreign assistance from the United States to Haiti since Fiscal Year 2021.
