Voice of Minister of Sports Olivia Grange
The statue of sprint legend Usain Bolt has been completed and is likely to be erected before the end of the year according to Sports Minister Olivia Grange.
“Well you know the maquette (miniature version) is now in Jamaica. The stature itself which is life-size is ready and will be shipped to Jamaica in August. The unveiling schedule will be determined by Usain Bolt’s availability,” said Minister Grange. The statue which was done by Basil Watson, is set to be erected on the grounds of Independence Park Limited.
