The West Indies ended the opening day of the historic pink ball test against Australia at Sabina Park on 16-1 in reply to the Aussies’ 225. They trail by 209 runs.
Kevlon Anderson is the batsman out for 3. Openers John Campbell and Mikyle Louis were both taken to hospital for scans. Campbell sustained a blow while fielding at short leg, while Louis landed on his knee.
Earlier, Australia whom elected to bat, were dismissed for 225. Steve Smith led the scoring with a knock of 48, while Cameron Green got 46 and Usman Khwaja 23. Shamar Joseph bagged 4-33, Justin Greaves 3-56 and Jayden Seales 3-59.
The West Indies made three changes from the last test, with former captain Kraigg Braithwaite, Anderson Phillip and Keacy Carty being left out.
They were replaced by Mikyle Louis, Jomel Warrican and debutant Kevlon Anderson. Australia lead the three match series 2-0.
