With 13 centuries scored across the first two rounds of the regional 4-day championship, Cricket West Indies (CWI) president Dr Kishore Shallow says this is as a result of the investments the board has made in lifting the standard of the game.
Several bowlers and batters were involved in a one week workshop ahead of the tournament, including Jamaica Scorpions players John Campbell, Kirk McKenzie and Tamarie Redwood.
There has also been 34 half-centuries, while seven batters have already accumulated more than 200 runs, including Jamaicans Campbell with 258 which ranks him second on the list and Jermaine Blackwood who is fourth with 213 runs.
Four spinners are already into double figures, led by Khary Pierre with 21 wickets. Dr Shallow says improvements in the all-round structure has been key to the performances.
