The Jamaica Scorpions are on the verge of a semi-final spot in the regional Super50 cup as after their game against defending champions Trinidad and Tobago Red Force ended in a no-result on Tuesday, due to rain.
The abandonment means both teams walked away with three points each. It now means the Scorpions moved to 40 points from their six games which ranks them third on the table.
The Red Force who have secured their place in the last four leads the standing with 51 points followed by the Barbados Pride on 42, while the Leeward Islands Hurricanes are in fourth on 38 points.
The Scorpions will close out the preliminary round on Friday when they play the Hurricanes who have a game in hand.
