Jay Z and LL Cool J among newest inductees in Rock & Roll Hall of Fame

Rappers Jay Z and LL Cool J are among the list of inductees for the 2021 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
 
The list, which was revealed on Wednesday, is the most diverse group by musical genre in the organization's history.
 
Jay Z in featured in the Performance category alongside Tina Tuner, Foo Fighters and The Gop-Go's, while LL Cool J is being awarded in the category of Musical Excellence.
 
To be eligible for induction into the Hall of Fame, an individual artist or band must have released their first commercial recording at least 25 years prior to the year of nomination.
 
The 36th Annual Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will take place on Saturday October 30, and will air on HBO and be available to stream on HBO Max at a later date.
