Poor and Boasy sentencing postponed until next year

The sentencing for Poor and Boasy, the 2009 winner of the now defunct Magnum Kings and Queens of Dancehall competition, has been postponed until next year.

The artiste whose given name is Omar Johnson, pleaded guilty in August to uttering forged documents, conspiracy to defraud and obtaining money by means of false pretence.

When the matter was called up in the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court today, the sentencing hearing was pushed back after the court was told that a social inquiry report that had been requested by the judge, was not ready.

His bail was subsequently extended until January 17.

Johnson confessed to handing over counterfeit US 100 dollar bills totaling 1,000 dollars to the complainant, in exchange for Jamaican currency.
