Reggae singer Sevana was today fined $300,000 following a deadly motor vehicle accident that claimed the life of a 32-year-old woman in May last year.
The artiste born Anna Blake, pleaded guilty to death by dangerous driving in the Westmoreland Parish Court on October 31.
She was ordered to pay the fine or face two years in prison and has also been banned from driving for the next two years.
Reports are that Sevana was traveling along the Scott Cove main road in Whitehouse, Westmoreland, when the Honda City motor car she was driving collided with a Honda Fit going in the opposite direction.
Ordia Cordiel, who was a passenger in the Honda Fit, succumbed to injuries she sustained in the accident.
