"Sherri" to premier September 1

Sherri Shepherd, the Emmy-winning comedian, actress, and former co-host of The View, will see Season 1 of her new talk show, Sherri, premier on September 12.

The new show will take over the time slots previously occupied by The Wendy Williams Show, which aired its final episode on June 17 after 13 seasons. 

Shepherd has been the main guest host during the final season of The Wendy Williams Show, which prompted executives to act on her popularity and likeability. 

Sherri is described as a "daily dose" of pop culture, comedy, conversations, and daytime talk staples, including celebrity and human interest interviews.
