BOJ offers US$30 million to forex market

The Bank of Jamaica intervened in the foreign currency market today.
 
The central bank sold US$30 million to authorised dealers and cambios in the flash sale operation.
 
This is the sixth intervention since the start of the year.
 
Seven banks and five cambios were successful in the auction.
 
JMMB Bank, National Commercial Bank, and JMMB Securities received the largest shares at a settlement price of $154.72.
 
Today's flash sale pushes the total sum added to the foreign currency market by the BOJ this year to US$170 million.
