The latest Survey of Businesses' Inflation Expectations, published by the Bank of Jamaica, shows respondents anticipate a slowdown in exchange rate depreciation in coming months.

In the December 2019 survey, the exchange rate was anticipated to depreciate by 0.2 per cent, 0.6 per cent, and 1.2 per cent for the 3-month, 6-month, and 12-month horizons.

This represents a slower pace of depreciation relative to the expected depreciation of 2.6 per cent recorded for all time horizons in the November survey.
