Caribbean Cream earns higher profit for financial year

Local ice-cream manufacturer Caribbean Cream says it made a higher profit for its financial year ended February.

In its audited financial statement released on Monday via the Jamaica Stock Exchange, the company, which does business as Kremi, made J$36.7 million after tax.

This is more than the just over $27 million in earnings for the prior year.

Kremi says this was supported by higher revenue of J$2.6 billion, a 5 per cent increase from the $2.5 billion made in the year ended February 2023.

The improved results were despite higher expenses during the year.
