First Rock IPO indicative of its confidence in Jamaica's economy - Shaw

Industry and Commerce Minister Audley Shaw has said the decision by the principals of First Rock Capital Holdings Limited to offer shares in the firm's operations to the public, is indicative of their confidence in Jamaica's economy.

He said their confidence and, by extension, that of other interests across the society has been spurred by the outcomes of several key macroeconomic indicators.

Mr. Shaw was speaking at a First Rock IPO investor briefing in St. Andrew last week.

First Rock, a real estate and equity investment firm is currently offering more than 106 million shares in an initial public offering.
