Wigton Windfarm Limited plans to change its name to Wigton Energy as it moves into the business of leasing solar energy to corporations, rather than just producing wind energy.
Under the new lease agreements, the company will provide clients with a financial model that will enable them to pay for the installation of a solar system over a 10-year period.
The company completed a solar energy project for Jamaica Inn last November for which it is collecting lease payments.
Wigton recently singed another agreement with Carreras Group Limited for a solar energy project at its headquarters, That project is slated for completion by the end of this month.
