Demerara Distillers Limited (DDL) says it has significantly upgraded its ageing capacity for its rum products with the construction of a new barrel ageing warehouse at its Diamond, East Bank Demerara facility in Guyana.
The new facility is designed to accommodate 30,000 barrels, and brings DDL's total ageing and storage capacity to 130,000 barrels.
The company said the expansion supports its ability to meet rising international demand for aged Demerara Rums while preserving the signature quality and rich flavours that define Demerara Rums.
