The Bank of Jamaica (BOJ), said that country’s Net international reserve (NIR), increased in April.
According to the Central Bank, the NIR stood at US$ 3.73 billion, up from US$3.67 billion.
The reserves could cover 47 weeks of goods for import.
Meanwhile, less local currency was in circulation at the end of April - J$203.9 billion was circulating versus $207. 9 billion in March, while $6-million in the form of central bank digital currency was in circulation.
