JMMB Group CEO advocates for tax relief as financial sector recovers from COVID-19 impact

Chief Executive Officer of JMMB Group Limited, Keith Duncan, yesterday urged the government to phase out the asset tax, citing the financial sector's support during the COVID-19 pandemic.

He said the sector backed the government during the pandemic, and now it's time for the government to return the favour.

In 2020, JMMB and other financial institutions negotiated with the government to delay a planned reduction in the asset tax, which was originally proposed to be halved.
