Head of the Jamaica Public Service Company Foundation, Sophia Lewis says the company is looking forward to its upcoming Climate Action Conference and Expo on November 30.
She says the effects of climate change are already being felt through longer droughts and hotter summers as well as more frequent storms.
Ms Lewis adds that, as the country's leading energy provider, JPS has a critical role to play in driving sustainable change.
Additionally, she says the Development Bank of Jamaica has a role to play in the provision of financial solutions to mitigate the impact of climate change.
