The government is endorsing a US$480,000 project aimed at strengthening Jamaica’s business process outsourcing sector by enabling small operations to move up the value chain.
Pearnel Charles Jr., Minister without Portfolio in the Ministry of Economic Growth & Job Creation, says the Jamaica Global Services Sector – Moving Firms up the Value Chain Project- is a critical investment that will grow the sector and create more high level jobs for young people.
Gloria Henry, President of the Business Processing Industry Association of Jamaica, has explained that 10 companies will be selected for the project.
They will receive critical support over 18 months.
