The National Health Fund say it provided $9.1 billion in subsidies to cardholders after processing 4.8 million claims last year.
Everton Anderson, CEO of the Fund, reported that that there was also an increase of 27,977 in the number of beneficiaries, bringing the total to 350,755.
He stressed that card holders now have more cash at their disposal because the subsidies have been hiked on 600 drugs covered by the Fund.
