More than 400 persons will get employment with Sandals Resorts International’s expansion project in Grenada.
Sandals chairman Gordon “Butch” Stewart last week presented his plans for the former LaSource property during a special meeting of the Grenadian Cabinet.
Mr. Stewart unveiled the hotel chain’s US$60 million improvement project.
The Sandals project, which was announced last month, will increase the LaSource property’s former stock from 100 to 228 rooms and suites. It will be called the Sandals LaSource Grenada Resort & Spa.
Approximately 98 per cent of the resort’s employees will reportedly be Grenadian.
