Two persons died and several others are being treated for serious injuries suffered during a motor vehicle collision along the Galina main road in St. Mary on Monday afternoon.
The St. Mary Police say the crash occurred about 2 o'clock.
It involved a white Toyota Hiace bus, travelling towards Port Maria, and a grey Toyota Fielder motor car carrying three people and heading towards Oracabessa.
It's reported that the driver of the Hiace bus lost control, causing the vehicle to swerve into the opposite lane and collide with the Fielder.
Both drivers and the passengers in the vehicles suffered injuries and were taken to Port Maria Hospital.
Two passengers from the Toyota Fielder were pronounced dead on arrival.
The other persons involved are receiving treatment for serious injuries.
