The central bank of Trinidad & Tobago has reported that headline inflation climbed to 0.7%, year over year, in February, although food prices jumped by 3.9% during the month.
The central bank also revealed that the increase in food prices was driven by local and international factors.
The bank pointed out, however, that core inflation, which excludes volatile food and energy prices dipped by 0.1% during the month.
